First KFC Outlet in Cambodia

Posted by: jorjorksor on: March 4, 2008

I visited the very First KFC in Cambodia today, it just opened on Sunday. I went there at around 5:20 pm. It’s a bit heavy traffic at this time and they have a lot of customers. It is not convenience to go by car, I went by my motorbike. My suggestion (for now) don’t go in the evening, if can, go in the morning or afternoon (not lunch time).

I parked my motorbike and get inside, it takes me sometime to park, coz the parking is full already. The inside was nice and most of the table are full, there were many foreigners, Americans, Europeans, Asians, Cambodians, you name it.

Here I am, waiting in queue

There were 3 line queues, I take a short one. Good for me, it was not a long queue, but for my friend, it took him about 20 minutes to get his order. Haha… it is good, so that you would get more hungry and you would it more and it also would taste better. One thing here, which is quite good, is that when you order, you will get your order instantly, like just 30 seconds or 1 minute. It is good, coz you don’t have to wait again to get your order.

Ok, now I would like to raise up a bit about queuing. “There are some people who don’t know how to queue or simply just don’t like or want to queue. There was this teenager, he simply jumps in front others even though he was asked to go to the back of the line by the cashier. It is time for people to learn to queue heuy, it is about Moral. Is queuing that difficult? You just stand at the back of a line, and go along one by one until you reach the counter. Would it be that difficult? Here an idea why you should queue. Next time, you about to jump in in front of a queue, try you think if you were to queue for 20 minutes and then someone came in and get in front of you, what would you think or do. AND please next time if someone get in front of you without queuing, YOU TELL THEM GO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE (unless she is a pretty girl!!! . . . just kidding).”

Now let’s get back to what I ordered. It was (I think, I forgot already) a RICE COMBO [something], it costs US$2.80 per set. It got: A Small Bowl of Rice, 2 Pieces of Chicken (wings or drum stick, your choice), A Small Cup of Sauce, A Small Cup of Salad (I don’t know how to call it te), A Pepsi (not Coke), A Fork, A Spoon, A Napkin, And No Straw (you have to ask for it). And don’t worry about Ketchup or Chillies Sauce, they give you two bottles of them.

This is what I ordered, but with only ONE Pepsi te, the other one was my friend’s

Nice!!!! :D

Here my friend also order same as me (actually, I order for him)

He waited in line for 20 minutes already. It’s time to dig in now!!!

The food was good, the environment was good, the service was good, the waiting for parking and in queue was not so good. But I enjoy it :)

Well… it is good to enjoy life. Why not take a time to drop in for a while??? And DO tell those who don’t jump in without queue “Please get in line first.”

Have a good time :)

Almost forgot, there also toys for kids too!!! So enjoy it tov little kids!!!

Bye Bye!!!

KFC Cambodia is located on Monivong Blvd next to ASIA Hotel opposite of BB World (BS Department Store)
